Metamorph
HELL IS A TEENAGE GIRL
In Metamorph you play as a high-school girl who has begun to slowly – but steadily – turn into a twisted cockroach creature. With no signs of being able to reverse it, she sets out to score a date with her crush, all before her grotesque transformation is fully complete.

Navigate through social situations, interact with an unique cast of characters, and try your best to deal with your morphing body. As each day passes and your relationship with your crush unravels, your transformation spreads – The tendrils of your mind will begin playing tricks on you, making it harder and harder to conceal your condition.
And as if dealing with your body changing into something unknown wasn’t enough, you’ll also have to navigate the greatest horror of them all… High school.
Meet your classmates! They’re mean, they’re gossipy, they’re bossy, they’re insecure, and one of them might be in a cult. They’re just like you! Well… they would be, if you weren’t so… Ugh. Each character has their own goal, and they’ll do most anything to reach it. You can choose to help them, and maybe in return they’ll help you.

Metamorph was the first game we made together as a project for our university course Vertical Slice. We entered Gotland Game Conference 2024 where we received glowing feedback, and ultimately won the prize for Best Storytelling. We continued to work on it, and as of March 2025, it is released on Steam. Metamorph holds a special place in our hearts as it is the game that made us find each other. We all got to utilize our unique talents, and together we made something we think is pretty awesome.
Some of the members that worked on Metamorph with us has decided to go on to work on other projects and are no longer a part of Jackdaw Games (Jiao Rosenqvist -2D, Viktor Ebeling -SFX, Max Marshall -SFX). Their contributions were essential for the development of Metamorph, and we wish them all the best!
